Is Vasion Sign legally valid under eIDAS?

Vasion Sign can support legally valid electronic signatures in Europe. Out of the box it is best understood as a Simple Electronic Signature workflow with audit evidence. With identity controls and digital signature tracking it can support Advanced Electronic Signature use cases. Qualified Electronic Signature use requires integration with an EU-accredited Qualified Trust Service Provider.

When is QES required?

QES is normally reserved for highly regulated documents, government forms or transactions where a jurisdiction requires a wet-ink equivalent signature. It requires identity verification by an EU-accredited Qualified Trust Service Provider.

Understanding electronic signature levels in the EU.

eIDAS separates electronic signatures into three levels. Vasion Sign can fit different levels depending on deployment, identity controls and whether a qualified trust provider is added.
